Phantoms

Phantoms

Wanted to try and put a feeling I've been having into a drawing, that feeling of impending doom. Though I suppose that's not that unwarranted with everything that's been happening in 2020.
I tried out a new way of doing lighting for this one which I think looks a lot better too.

Devil May Cry - Vergil

Devil May Cry - Vergil

I've been in a bit of a slump recently, so I decided to draw the king of motivation himself. This took way longer to finish than I would have hoped, but it's finally done! My favourite character from one of my favourite game series. Here's to one the best rival fights in gaming! I combined his human look from DMC3 with his Devil Trigger form from DMCV, taking my favourite design from each game.

Commission - Yakoba as WonderWoman

COMMISSION - YAKOBA AS WONDERWOMAN

Not something I usually do, but was interesting to work on. Commissioned by Yakoba - She wanted to be drawn in her own custom Wonder Woman costume, as well as the blue eyes and earring.

If you would like your own commission done, complete the submission form from the tab above, or email me directly at: joeallencreative@gmail.com

Alleyway

ALLEYWAY

Been wanting to draw something like this for a while, it's fun to play around with the graffiti on the wall. I wanted to play around with different lighting too, and better integrating a model into a scene.

Gravity Rush

GRAVITY RUSH

Fanart of Kat and Raven from the Gravity Rush series. Another one of my favourite games. It had weird pacing, nonsensical story but fun characters and a unique charm. I never got tired of flying around the world and meeting all the weird characters. I hope it gets a sequel eventually, but I seem to have a habit of loving franchises that die.

Dino Crisis

DINO CRISIS

A scene from one of my favourite games of all time; You're trapped on a balcony with the T-rex and are forced to keep it at bay until your teammate unlocks the door. This scene always stuck with me as a kid, mostly because I kept dying here so much...

I made this after playing the amazing Resident Evil 2 remake. As much as I loved that game, I never really played the Resident Evil series until recently, so I didn't have that much of a connection to it. What I did play though was Dino Crisis, and boy did I play the shit out of that game.
Here's to hoping it gets a similar remake from Capcom!

Jack Concept

JACK CONCEPT

The main character from the second book I'm writing. It's interesting reading back as how much the character has and hasn't changed. Jack is a jaded and solitary person who both resents people and their presence, and his disdain for human life makes him the perfect killer. He works as a hitman for Arthur, but doesn't like taking jobs against civilians, instead opting to go after other organisations, criminals and anyone else he takes a disliking to. While he technically works for Arthur, he usually does as he pleases, mostly because no-one has the guts to tell him otherwise. Despite being the one to bring him in and train him, even Arthur is wary of Jack's famous temper.
Unfortunately for Jack, Arthur knows him well, and there are times when he makes it clear that Jack has no choice in the matter. Jack is forced to look after Arthur's teenage daughter, plan being that people will be too scared to go near her with the Devil by her side. Problem is, having to share his house with another person is his idea of hell, and doubly so when that person doesn't want to be there either.

Jack's Red suit and violent outbursts have earned him the nickname of "The London Devil", but Jack is reluctant to take all the credit for that.
He hides it well, but Jack shares his head-space with a psychotic voice he refers to as "Red". It is Jack's anger and bloodlust that he has personified and separated from himself. Red is not bound by Jack's moral code, and will happily destroy anyone or anything it see's if Jack doesn't constantly rein him in. Despite their power struggle, Jack and Red live in an otherwise symbiotic relationship, and as such Jack has never actually tried to get rid of Red, instead letting him take the wheel whenever Jack gets in too deep.

Jack doesn't care much for the nickname, but uses his infamy to his own advantage, playing into his own legend to invoke fear in others. Even his own allies are afraid of Jack, more so than of Arthur even, but then again, maybe that was Arthur's plan all along. After all, what good is a dog that can't bark?

Alex Concept

ALEX CONCEPT

Concept Art of a character from my new book, I find it helps me visualize the easier if I have something to look at. Who would have thought.

Alex is the 19 year old daughter of Arthur Lloyd, the kingpin that our protagonist Jack works for. She refuses to talk with her father and does everything she can to either escape him or just plain piss him off. Since Alex has a habit of getting in trouble, Jack is tasked with keeping an eye on her, an arrangement neither of them are happy with.

Dreaming In Colour

DREAMING IN COLOUR

A picture I made for my Mum's birthday. She likes making cool, colourful fractal art so I used a few I liked and combined it with a drawing of my own. This won't be the best thing I ever draw, but this picture will likely always hold the most value to me.
